Holland Soccer Club Friends and Family..
Welcome Aboard!!
For several years we have been going to Las Vegas. I love
Vegas, but I feel we should also do something else once in
a while. In the past the Holland Soccer Club has organized
two cruises, one to celebrate the club's 35th Anniversary
and the second one to just have a good time. Both cruises
were great!
The Board of Directors has decided to plan another cruise,
but a cruise requiring no long airplane flights. Of course
the most sensible cruise is one of the Mexico cruises. Since
it takes a long time to get "everyone onboard",
so to speak, the cruise is planned for late 2012.
Arrangements have been made for 30 outside cabins and 20 inside
cabins on the Carnival Inspiration. The itinerary is :Leave
Long Beach, California on Monday November 5, 2012, visit Catalina
Island on November 6, visit Ensenada, México on November
7 , fun day at sea on November 8, and return to Long Beach
on November 9 in the morning.
Many of us have done this cruise before; I know I have at
least 6 times! It still is fun to be together with friends
and family, yes family. This cruise will be ideal to invite
your children and grandchildren, and perhaps friend and family
from Holland or elsewhere. There are lots of onboard activities
and on shore as well. When we arrive in Ensenada, you can
get different guided tours or just walk to the shopping area.
As Ensenada may not be all that appealing to you, just stay
on the ship and eat and relax!
Since many of us love to play card games, especially the Dutch
game "Klaverjas", we plan to setup a "Klaverjas
tournament" on the day we are at sea.
So for those of you who are cruising with the Holland Soccer
Club for the first time "Welcome Aboard", and for
those who cruised with us in the past: "Welcome Back".
I am sure we'll have a great time together - we always do!
