Once
you are booked, here is some important information
you will need to know that can make your cruise more
fun
and reduce any hassle or challenges you may encounter.

VERY
IMPORTANT!
PASSPORT
IS Highly Recommended
SEACruises
strongly recommends that all guests travel with
a passport that is valid for at least six (6) months
beyond the end of their cruise. This greatly assists
guests who may need to fly out of the United States
to meet their ship at the next available port should
they miss their scheduled embarkation in a U.S.
port; guests entering the U.S. at the end of their
cruise; and guests needing to fly to the U.S. before
their cruise ends, because of medical, family, personal
or business emergencies, missing a ship's departure
from a port of call, involuntary disembarkation
from a ship due to misconduct, or other reasons.
U.S.
citizens taking "closed-loop" cruises
are not required to have a passport, but will need
proof of citizenship such as an original or certified
copy of a birth certificate, a certificate of naturalization,
a passport card, an enhanced driver's license (EDL)
as well as a government-issued photo ID. Children
are also required to bring proof of citizenship,
and if 16 and over, a photo ID is also required.
HOWEVER....
If
there is an emergency during the cruise and you
need to fly back to the US you will NOT be allowed
to board an airplane without a valid passport. That
is why it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Note:
This rule may change at any time. For up to date
information please see: http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html
The
name on your passport MUST match the name on the
cruise line manifest given to us at the time you
register.
There
is NO REFUND for guests who show up at the pier
and are denied boarding due to improper documentation.
Non-US
Citizens will be responsible to determine that they
possess the correct documentation to depart and return
to the US
Need
assistance in obtaining a passport?
Please
Note: The US Department of Homeland Security has recently
postponed the deadline for passports to be required
on this cruise in which case passengers "may"
be allowed to take n this cruise by bringing a government
issued photo ID PLUS an original
county issued birth certificate plus any bridge documents
that will connect the exact name of the birth certificate
with the names on the ship's manifest (such as a marriage
license. Agency STRONGLY RECOMMENDS that you obtain
and bring a valid passport.
